One more thing on vintage drawing tools

A few months ago I put up a post announcing my discovery of some 70-yr. old 2mm leads I had found in a local art shop. They were in an incredibly beautiful package that now resides among other prize trinkets on a shelf in my studio. I've realized since this purchase that these drawing tools will get increasingly harder to find as time marches on. Sort of like the sketchbook that you used to buy, and now you can't get it anymore because that paper company went under in '92...

So before it gets IMPOSSIBLE, or truly expensive, I've started to search for a few of these 2mm lead holders. If you use them, you know it's hard to find one that really feels right. Color, weight, material, shape, all come into play. Sort of like picking out a cell phone today. I didn't have to look too far, before I found a site I couldn't believe existed, though, I guess I should have.
