Aegir's FuryThis image has been part of a collection I created for a coloring book on Norse Mythology some years ago; I've always wanted to do a full painting of the image, and the upcoming Oceans of Imagination show has given me an excuse to do that. The show will open at the Northport Public Library, on March 2, and be up for the month. Oceans of Imagination will include roughly 25 pieces, all with the sea as a unifying theme—specifically, the myths and legends of the sea— pirates, mermaids, ghost ships and the like, and it will include at least 3 pieces never before exhibited, including ol' Aegir up here. (Aegir is a Norse god of the sea...)
